Kinttu
is a dog full of contrast and differs
from Kumma as the day from the night. She's extremely devoted to her family,
the home guardian. Where Kumma'd take off with any stranger with warmth and
food, you'd have to force Kinttu to come with you.
She admires us two-leggeds
blindly and reads our body gestures carefully. She has accepted her placing in
the pack, being lower than us and would never do anything to challenge
that! She doesn't like barking/noisy dogs and expresses her dissatisfaction
loudly meowing. She surely won't be bossed around by strange dogs, there's a
limit for everything ... In dogparks she makes it clear for other dogs what is
allowed and what not. All in all she's literally a kind and polite dog in
every situation.
Kinttu loves just to
move and is always ready to go, come rain or shine. She likes to run free but
also enjoys quiet walks and the smells in the woods. Travelling is though
something she'd pass without ifs or buts. Kinttu has a great passion for
different birds which she constantly searches with her sight outside. Unfortunately due to her
passion we can't have her without a leash any more if the area isn't fenced. Normally Kinttu's
obedient and listens carefully what we say but if she sees a prey of any kind
that could be chased, her ears evidently develop invisible earplugs. A few times
she's left for her forays but has luckily always come back on her own. She has
loooong legs that enable her to go fast.
Like all IG's, also
Kinttu loves to sunbathe and sleep under blankets but for her sleeping place she
rather chooses the pillow next to than the lap. She has adopted many "kummalike"
habits, such as the passion for food. Whenever we're having dinner, you can be
sure of a pair of brown eyes staring at you from somewhere under the table.
When it comes to
appearance Kinttu is a personification of elegance. Her long legs, slim
presence and delicate movement remind me of a miniature azawakh or a sloughi:
she really is 100% worthy of her name, which as a matter of fact is Finnish and
means "Leg"! As a show dog Kinttu is very showy and she gained her
championships easily.
